My role at Kaitech was to be the jack of all trades while building our Fully Automated wash-down robotic systems. My schooling and experience with electromechanical troubleshooting and maintenance were an easy transition into my role as a controls technician. We were building systems from the ground up with short timelines, while also doing the research and development of said system. You had to be able to communicate and work effectively with a team, as well as think on your feet to solve any problems that had come up.

• Interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, and work closely with engineering to execute the job.
• Lead contractors in the Assembly/Disassembly and ultimately the final assembly on site and then perform I/O checks following assembly.

• Electrical,Mechanical, Pneumatic troubleshooting.
• Installed new systems, replacement parts and components to maintain proper operation.
• Scheduled preventive maintenance programs to keep equipment in good working condition.
• Assisted in the installation of new machinery and equipment.

It was a seasonal job when I was still in school on the top of Bogus Skin resort I lived on site and was on call for 96 hours at a time (4 days). Most of the skills I used were interpersonal skills with the residents but it was also good that I have a construction background as well as electrical troubleshooting.

My role was apart of the Controls Technician side of assembly for our automated systems. Most of my time on the floor was building UL listed panels as well as any field wiring that was outside of the panel.

• Painted walls and other surfaces using traditional and sprayer methods and worked efficiently to complete jobs within required timeframes.
• Cleaned and smoothed surfaces prior to painting.
• Performed repairs to defects in walls by patching holes and scrapes prior at project start.
• Smoothed and finished surfaces on walls, trim and cabinetry.
