As an intern at this Equine-Assisted Therapeutic Center, I observed, assisted, and held the role of working to deliver therapeutic riding lessons for children with a wide array of diagnoses. I gained unique, hands-on experiences in a therapeutic setting, working closely with our licensed Equine-Assisted service providers, trained instructors, and our therapy horses. I helped to provide a safe, nurturing, and encouraging environment for the children and families, assisting our leads on back-to-back, individualized lessons.
