I've been with the Pacific Harbor Line for approximately a year and and have learned a lot of skills for being a conductor. Those skills are being able to couple up cars, air test trains, take shoving movements, read switch lists, track warrants, knowing the signal indication for my intended route, understanding distances between signals, and how to safely stop a train. I have my freight conductor qualification certificate 49CFR that i earned from the proper classes they gave us to learn how to be safe and know how to handle the operations of a train.
