Volunteer Experience
- Tech Trek with AAUW & UAH, 06/2023, Tech Trek is a STEM program for rising 8th grade girls offered by American Association of University Women (AAUW) Huntsville branch and the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH). As a counselor, I lead small group activities, ensured the safety of campers, and encouraged a fun and educational experience.
- Girls in Science and Engineering Day with UAH, 04/2023, Girls in Science and Engineering Day is a day of hands-on STEM engagement for girls from grades 3rd through 6th. As a volunteer, I set up the classrooms, ensured the registration process was completed during drop off, reunited parents with their children safely, and inspired young girls to learn more about STEM.
- TEMPS with Enable Madison County, 11/2022, Enable Madison County partnered with the Emerging Leaders program at UAH to weatherize houses for the elderly and disabled. Participated in small groups to complete maintenance tasks which includes replacing lightbulbs, window and door insulation, replaced air filters, and conducted dialogue with neighbors.
