  • Design, administer, and interpret a wide variety of assessments and simulated work experiences used to build a unique, comprehensive profile for high school students' areas of career interests and strengths/weaknesses in aptitudes and abilities. This profile indicates best matches for students' career-technical programs of study or pursuit of post-secondary education and career pathways.
  • Write a Career Assessment Report for each student with an emphasis on the individual's areas of strength while also indicating areas needing support or further development.
  • Serve as one of a team of seven staff members making up an entire Career Assessment department. Requires on-going collaboration in areas of design, function, student support, staff support, school-wide support, organization, and goals. Personal strength as a wordsmith.
  • Engage a wide variety of students in assessments, hands-on activities, and other experiences during one-day or three-day Career Assessments. Students range from gifted to typical college-bound, and work-oriented to intellectually challenged individuals.
  • Read and understand IEPs, ETRs, WEPs and Psychology reports. Be able to integrate students' needs into the Career Assessment process and distill those needs into each student's profile as described in the Career Assessment Report.
