Urology:

• Perform catheter insertions, removals, irrigations, trial-of-void (TOV) assessments, and post-procedure monitoring.
• Manage BCG and other intravesical therapy prep, patient screening, and safety protocols.
• Assist with prostate procedures (TRUS, cystoscopy prep, PVR scans, uroflowmetry).
• Educate patients on urologic conditions, postop care, infection prevention, and catheter management.
• Support providers during in-office procedures and maintain sterile technique.

Cardiology:

• Conduct EKGs, orthostatic vitals, 6-minute walk tests, and rhythm monitoring prep.
• Prep patients for stress tests, echo appointments, and post-cardiac event follow-up.
• Monitor cardiac symptoms, escalate red-flag presentations, and coordinate with cardiology providers.
• Administer medications per provider orders and track patient response.
• Provide education on cardiac risk factors, medication adherence, lifestyle modification, and postop care.

Oncology:

• Support oncology providers with exam prep, symptom assessment, and treatment follow-up.
• Monitor for chemo-related side effects and escalate abnormal findings promptly.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, symptom management, and when to seek urgent care.
• Perform frequent assessments for pain, infection risk, hydration status, and nutritional concerns.
• Coordinate lab draws, imaging orders, referrals, and continuity-of-care communication.

General LPN Duties Across All Specialties:

• Perform comprehensive triage (in-person and telephone) with accurate documentation.
• Administer IM/SQ injections, wound care, labs, and point-of-care testing.
• Manage medication reconciliation and refill protocols.
• Utilize EPIC for patient charting, order entry, and care coordination.
• Provide trauma-informed, compassionate care to diverse patient populations.
