
Provide direct instruction to students with disabilities via distance learning, teletherapy, mainstream, life skill, and pull-out educational settings. Develop Individual Education Programs for students K-12. Recommend and implement accommodations and modifications for students with hearing loss according to their IEP and ESSER. Train staff how to use assistive listening equipment. Troubleshoot listening equipment: hearing aid’s cochlear implants, personal FM microphone, and sound field systems. Collaborate with school staff to ensure the unique needs of a student with a hearing disability are met. Recommend and provide direct instruction on assistive technology solutions to support the student gaining independence. Support teachers in solving communication barriers for varying levels of hearing loss. Guide students to manage their unique disability by providing communication, academic, and self-advocacy training allowing students to reach their goals within the school environment by preparing for life in their community.
