Support purchase price variance (PPV) analysis for pertinent ingredients in the category. Stay abreast on market trends, cost optimization, innovation and latest technologies to identify new ingredient opportunities by analyzing industry research and attending trade shows.
Drive quarterly business reviews to review aligned KPIs with select, strategic ingredient suppliers.
Manage the protein new raw material sourcing process, gathering relevant cost, logistic, and technical information to supply the Development, Regulatory, Purchasing, and Finance teams for decision making purposes.
Source raw materials with alignment to customer requirements and price points.
Review and update cost information on existing and new raw materials for costing/pricing purposes.
Evaluate significant changes in raw material demand based on potential new projects and communicate to purchasing team to plan for changes in demand.
Facilitate the gathering of all necessary documentation required by customers pertaining to the sourcing of raw materials including but not limited to sustainability, specification, and any other sourcing requirements.
