Chief Medical Officer

Oversaw and directed overall delivery of patient care services and care at First Choice Health Centers, Inc. Oversaw clinical direction for approximately 19,000 patients, resulting in roughly 90,000 visits per year. Provided team-based support and led initiatives to improve quality metrics. Developed a business plan with strategies for an enhanced scheduling system to improve patient-centered care, work-life balance for providers, and revenue generation. Provided direct supervision over multi-disciplinary providers. Collaborated with interdisciplinary teams to develop expanded community services, such as a long-acting PrEP clinic and a well-defined TB referral program.

Chief Medical Officer Duties included:

  • Directly supervised providers within several departments (Medical, Psychiatry, Chiropractor Services, Nutrition, Women’s Health, Podiatry, and LGBQT+).
  • Participated in the strategic planning activities to ensure that the Health Care Plan and strategic plan both reflect the clinical priorities and needs of the Center and communities served.
  • Chair of the Performance Improvement (PI) Committee, which ensures the development of the annual Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Plan for committee and Board approval.
