Oversaw and directed overall delivery of patient care services and care at First Choice Health Centers, Inc. Oversaw clinical direction for approximately 19,000 patients, resulting in roughly 90,000 visits per year. Provided team-based support and led initiatives to improve quality metrics. Developed a business plan with strategies for an enhanced scheduling system to improve patient-centered care, work-life balance for providers, and revenue generation. Provided direct supervision over multi-disciplinary providers. Collaborated with interdisciplinary teams to develop expanded community services, such as a long-acting PrEP clinic and a well-defined TB referral program.

Chief Medical Officer Duties included:

• Directly supervised providers within several departments (Medical, Psychiatry, Chiropractor Services, Nutrition, Women’s Health, Podiatry, and LGBQT+).
• Participated in the strategic planning activities to ensure that the Health Care Plan and strategic plan both reflect the clinical priorities and needs of the Center and communities served.
• Chair of the Performance Improvement (PI) Committee, which ensures the development of the annual Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Plan for committee and Board approval. Chair Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, working with the Director of Pharmacy to define formulary and pharmaceutical program direction.
• Planned and implemented clinical training programs in support of center’s strategic and educational plan goals.
  Collaborated with the Clinical Services Director and Nurse Manager to help support care teams and improve care for the Center’s patients.
• Recruited in cooperation with the Chief Executive Officer and the Director of People and Culture to interview all potential clinical staff, and prepare recommendations for hiring and firing for the review and approval of the Chief Executive Officer.
• Applied continuous process improvement strategies to enhance case management, programs and clinical management.
  Represented clinical management in administration meetings and advocated for clinic and community health needs.
• Provided on-site, day-to-day clinical supervision of staff. Recruited for the Medical Director position.
  Oversaw and directed the provider schedules, clinical assignments, rotations, call, leave, etc., in conjunction with the Senior Site Administrator.
• Developed and sustained clinical supervision and/collaboration of mid-level providers in compliance with state laws.
• Supervised development, implementation, and operation of a Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Program as it relates to patient care.
• Provided night and weekend coverage in rotation with other providers within and outside the Center.
• Supervised other staff to include: Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants and worked in collaboration with other staff in a team environment.
• Helped bridge gaps within Social Determinants of Health, and worked with interdisciplinary teams to provide quality and supportive patient care within the community care setting.

• Ensure excellent clinical care is delivered, through both direct and indirect patient care and Advanced Practice Providers (APP) clinical and administrative oversight

• With one co-Physician, responsible for patient census ranging from 100 - 150 patients in a 617 bed, tertiary care hospital
• Manage overnight emergencies, rounds and care on patient floors
• Provide emergent Medical consults
• Triage all incoming admissions to Adult Inpatient Medical service (AIMS) to appropriate level of care
• Collaborate with two Nocturnist Physician Assistants and/or NPs
• Accept transfers and direct admissions from outlying hospitals and specialists
• Precept Residents on all private admissions to Medical Intermediate Care Unit
• Review and triage patients for Hematology/Oncology service with their team Physician Assistant.

• Provide clinical teaching
• Responsible in different teaching venues for 2 - 4 Interns, Residents, Physician Assistant Students, Medical and Dental Students, Nurse Practitioner Students
• Give assessments and provide teaching to foster increased knowledge in Medicine
• Meet or exceed all expectations for teaching as defined by ACGME Network with established specialists to provide experiential opportunities for students and Residents

• Large outpatient medical practice serving patients 18 years of age and older. Established patient panel of 1200+ patients.
• Serve as educator and clinical teaching site for Nurse Practitioner program
• Facilitate specialist referrals and Integrative medicine referrals
• Serve as educator and clinical teaching site for pre/medical students
• Admit and manage patient referrals from 37 physician multi- specialty group and community physicians
• Serve as coordinator of care for inpatients, ordering and synthesizing test results, managing consultations
