• I am currently employed by MPS in their Youth Apprenticeship program for steamfitting. I have been working as a youth apprentice only for about one month now, and it has gotten to be a job that I love! I enjoy coming to work and learning new things about pipe fitting and all of the different fittings that we work with and how to fix them! I am currently looking to become a Refer-Service fitter (Refrigeration Service Steamfitter.) I still have many more hours to work in the Youth Apprenticeship program, so I have so much yet to learn. I also have a reference from a journeyman from Local Union 601: Joanne Lake.

Some of the things that I have done already include:

• learned about brazing, basic pipe fittings, and I'm already familiar with how taping and doping works for all surfaces!
• developing wrenching/channel lock skills, and getting a touch of the mechanical tools early as well!
• I already got taught and am currently still being taught about all different condensate and steam supply piping, so fully have a better understanding of what steamfitting is!
