  • The objective of the project is to promote quality codes from the developer end to the client end. There are three unique regions such as the UT (Unit Testing), ST (System Testing) and PR (Production Region). The codes from the developers are being tested carefully in both unit and system and finally promoted to production region. It also deals with retrofitting codes, compilation, standard checking and Batch Requests. It involves both Batch and online support in Windows region as well as AS400 region. It also consists of Executing REX scripts when promoting the modules to the respective regions and parallel execution of required data files such as Sql and Del scripts. Since this is a production support project it requires quick analysis in the codes and awareness in the respective regions. Assisting in restarting the servers when there has been a problem in signing in to INGENIUM. Mass compilation and manual binding of scripts will be performed based upon the requirements. AS400 region is the client end region where the movement of codes from here to the QT (Quality testing) region would be moved and if there is any issues in the AS400, the module will be analyzed, rectified, tested and finally it will be put back in to this region as a separate package. Each package is related to a unique ITR where it performs different business functions. Executing the AS400 commands and retrieving data in AS400 region is a part of daily jobs. It also includes manual execution of batch jobs by entering in to the corresponding regions using DB2 commands. The main purpose of executing these batch jobs are for date modifications and including policies that have been created for that particular job. It requires a constant maintenance of codes in the production region.
