The program covered current Public Health Management of Child and Youth Mental Health and Psychopathology, using the diagnostic criteria presented in the DSM-5 (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders – 5th Edition) as a baseline. By the end of the program, students were required to present an (Individual) Integrative Project, focusing on a problem in depth and offering intervention strategies, I explored the significant increase of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) prevalence, offering management strategies for schools and public institutions to employ, allowing for better integration into the mainstream educational system, and later workforce.
