Work History

Director of Data Analytics

BFC Solutions
09.2022 - Current
  • Developed operational dashboards to track team and technician performance, providing real-time comparisons of Actual vs. Budgeted Hours (e.g., drive time, work time, indirect time) and Actual vs. Planned Miles to improve route adherence and cost control.
  • Introduced previously untracked KPIs, such as Geo Sequence Compliance and Plan Stop Attainment, allowing leadership to measure technician productivity, stop completion rates, and adherence to optimal route sequencing—minimizing unnecessary miles caused by trip detours.
  • Built a service costing model in SQL to assign costs to CRM Timesheet entries, integrating overtime rules aligned with state regulations and tech wage rate data. This allowed BFC to evaluate Team and Customer profitability for the first time. Calculated overhead rates and developed a mechanism for allocating OH costs to customers, providing the company with critical insights into their true operational costs, enabling them to factor overhead accurately into service estimates and proposals to ensure profitability.
  • Created a Revenue Forecast in Power BI, giving leadership real-time visibility into Actual vs. Forecasted Revenue compared to the Base Budget for the first time. This enabled slicing and dicing revenue data by Month, Team, Customer, Line of Business, and more for in-depth financial insights.
  • Developed a Labor Capacity Forecast, calculating the number of technicians needed per month to meet demand versus the actual number of technicians available—allowing leadership to identify hiring opportunities during peak seasons.
  • Led a geospatial analysis initiative, creating dedicated, balanced, non-overlapping territories to optimize technician workload distribution and improve service efficiency.
  • Designed a cadence realignment strategy based on three key principles: Monthly Balance: Evenly distributing workloads across months to avoid spikes or gaps. Geographical Logic: Aligning schedules so that sites nearby share the same cadence (e.g., 01-04-07-10 or 02-05-08-12). Staggered Visits: Creating a balanced and predictable schedule ensures consistent, stable, and manageable workloads for each technician.
  • Developed a custom SQL procedure to automate cadence realignment, eliminating the need for expensive software and saving hundreds of hours of manual effort.
  • Analyzed technician and storage unit locations, comparing them to ideal spots based on workload concentration. Highlighted high-density work areas lacking local technicians to identify strategic hiring opportunities.
  • Played a pivotal role in reviving and successfully deploying Live Dispatch, an automated scheduling tool that prioritizes missed stops based on urgency—working closely with field teams and Descartes to refine the optimization engine.
  • Developed a Power App to track Safety, Auto, and Customer Damage Incidents, eliminating the need for a third-party tool. Integrated PowerApps with Power BI for streamlined Safety Reporting, saving the company $17K annually.
  • Regularly perform ad hoc data analysis and executive reporting, uncovering hidden opportunities in the data and advising leadership on cost-saving strategies and operational improvements.
