• Responsible to receive payments from the Private Clinic Laboratories of Puerto Rico participating in the Proficiency Sample Program as part of their compliance with CDC and CLIA.
• Adjudicated, gave payment receipt and register the payments on the debtors accounts with the Puerto Rico Health Department. Perform bank deposits of the received checks and money orders to the agency’s bank account.
• Assist the Proficiency Laboratory Staff in the preparation of the boxes with the unknown proficiency samples to be mailed to each of the participating laboratories on the island.
• Performed analytical tests on drinking water samples from the Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (AAA) plants and government private potable wells.
• Executed proficiency test of samples to comply with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations. Report proficiency test results and kept proficiency test reports available for the EPA audit.
• Performed forensic blood analysis by Gas Chromatography (GC) to determine alcohol concentration in human blood of people intervened by agents of the Police Department of Puerto Rico while driving apparently under the influence of alcohol (DUI). Prepared result reports of the sample analysis and certified them to be used as evidence of the Prosecutors to prove their cases in court.
• Performed calibration curve to the analytical instrument (GC) to assure equipment performance and assure quality (QA) of the results generated to be used as evidence in court.
• Executed monthly calibration verification (QA) of instruments Intoxilyzers 5000 EN (breath alcohol analyzers) of the Police Department of Puerto Rico located at the police stations around the island to assure quality of the results.
