Marah Collins

I am a positive role model to younger scouts by showing by example. I participate in all scout related activities and spend free time studying for eagle scout. We go and volunteer our time to places that need weeding or picking up trash on the side of the road. Or we go to social events to show how to be a good scout.

I am also a Den Chief of our local Cub Scouts. This means I organize and lead outdoor activities, enhance team collaboration and engagement. I help them develop and implement training programs and activities , fostering leadership skills and personal growth. I have helped run the box car derby and helped them during tours and earning merit badges.

I water the plants that the house owner needs to grow food and I make sure that no animals get into the growing space.

I have been responsible for different dogs and cats. I fed, watered, took outside for walks and kept pets comfortable in different situations.

castle rock has monthly castle rock clean ups where i go and do service hours for scouts. I am responsible for picking up trash and helping keep the main areas looking nice and respectable.

Going to battle ground to volunteer my time weeding through invasive species in various parks and campgrounds to protect natural wildlife and prevent damage to local ecosystems.

I watch my cousin and little brother multiple times in a month. What I do is give them a routine and have them stick with it. I help my cousin with her school work and show her how to take care of herself like doing her hair and brushing her teeth. I set up various snacks and meals for them. My little brother is a toddler and requires lots of attention and care. I make sure he doesn't get into stuff and we work on learning basics like ABCs and big motor skills.

In my love of horsemanship, I trade work for my riding lessons. I am responsible for cleaning up stalls and feeding the horses. Making sure the arena that people ride in is clean and safe and raked between riders. I do tasks that horse owners can't do themselves. I also clean and brush the horses before and after every lesson and clean them when it rains.
