With more than a decade of expertise as a proficient counselor and over 12 years of experience as a special needs teacher, I have worked extensively with students across all ability levels. Committed to fostering effective communication with both parents and staff, I am eager to pursue a counseling position within the Mt. SAC HSR Program.
1. Individual Counseling:
• Addressing academic progress.
• Discussing personal and social concerns.
• Providing career information and guidance.
• Assisting with work experience and Regional Occupational Program (ROP).
• Advising on graduation requirements, college entrance requirements, and scholarships.
• Interpreting test results.
2. Registration, Orientation, and Program Planning:
• Conducting freshmen conferences.
• Annual conferences with all students and parents regarding academic standing and registration of courses.
• Orienting students to the school environment.
• Collaborating with students on program planning.
3. Record Maintenance:
• Managing students' records, including anecdotal, permanent, and test results.
4. Conferencing:
• Engaging in conferences with parents and staff members regarding individual students.
5. Community Engagement:
• Establishing contacts with social service agencies.
• Collaborating with community resource persons.
6. Supervision of Events:
• Overseeing day and evening athletic contests.
• Managing dances and student performances.

• Working with student, parent and teacher through all discipline matters including academic violations and behavior incidents
