  • Worked with other commanding officers directly involving their personnel involved in the shelter
  • Defended the use of the "unidentified policy" wherein a party could stay at the Shelter without providing more than than their first name and branch of service without triggering mandatory reporting in an effort to protect victims while they obtained necessary information at the facility in support of their decisions.
  • Worked through a government shutdown and furlough in 1995 to stay open and obtain contracts for necessary services.
  • In charge of directly spending down the annual budget to procure supplies and security at the facility
  • Sat on the Kadena Air Base and Camp Butler Family Support Committees for the USAF and USMC facilities in Okinawa, Japan.
