Nonprofit founder and director of Mexicali Rose Media/Arts Center for 12 years teaching digital storytelling to at risk border youth, having curated student work and youth culture in renowned forums such as Artists Space in New York City, ABC Contemporary in Berlin, Kunstverein Munchen in Munich, Artist Run Festival in Copenhagen, as well as appearing in prestigious magazines such as Artforum, Frieze, May Revue, New York Times and The Village Voice, all highlighting our youth-oriented cultural work. As an educator, I continued to teach in a nonprofit setting in Los Angeles at Central American Resource Center (CARECEN) and in a University setting as a Contemporary Art History Professor at Woodbury University. I have over 8 years of accumulated experience in video production and postproduction for Brand Marketing, Music Industry campaigns and Animation special projects/series. I am skilled at crafting documentaries, music-based content, trailers, teasers and sizzle reels by editing a distinct and stylized storyline to connect with a desired audience. Experienced in creating digital media for multiple outlets and social media platforms, and trained in several editorial/color correction software programs to achieve desired audiovisual results.
