  • Went into the warehouse to get the right string for the ropes on the schedule that day
  • Set the machine up by getting the string put on the rack to be pulled and unwind, set the machine up with the proper weights and twist to build the ropes
  • Ran the cart back, while pulling the string to stretch it backwards over the cross and get my machine ready to run
  • Hooked the cart up and make sure the machine twisted the string with the core in the middle till the rope was finished and i could cut it

  • Slicer/Alt slicer. Ran the machine (cuts per second, blanks cuts, angle of the blade, feed the paper in the cheese, put the required program in and did my hourly paper work)
  • Ran the overfill barrels (weigh, seal and properly label them with stickers and hand written tags)
  • Probably open the cheese and put the left over components stacked and organized up against the racks. Once the racks were full, wrap them and wind them with ropes and use a pallet jack to put them in the staging area
  • Once cheese was ready, use the pallet jack to take it to the knock down and load it on the line to be cut and pushed onto the line for the slice machine
  • I broke the knockdown and slicer and ran both at the same time if needed
  • Multitasking was a major part of the job as well as assistant other partners on the floor
