Hi, I'm Marcus Elicea. I've worked in student athletic training, focusing on preventing injuries, evaluating them, and helping athletes recover. I use my knowledge of how the body works, which I learned from kinesiology, to create good treatment plans. I'm good with people, handle stress well, adapt to new situations, and care a lot about athlete health and safety. In my last job, I helped athletes perform better by managing and treating their injuries.
I helped athletes with nutrition, hydration, rest, sleep, and stress management. I did physicals and screenings to prevent injuries. I helped make emergency plans for sports events and kept records of treatments. I traveled with teams to provide medical help and kept the treatment room clean. I checked fields for safety, took vitals, recorded injuries, and managed insurance forms. I referred injured athletes to doctors and prepared treatment orders. I communicated with athletes about their concerns and progress. I applied protective devices like tape and braces and helped with rehab programs. I also helped with physical exams and health screenings and supported treatments.
While i was in college I also played football at both sierra college and Sacramento state. Therefore I had to learn to manage both football and school.
