Inventory and Equipment Management
- Receiving and inspecting incoming shipments of telecommunications gear (e.g., modems, fiber cable, networking hardware, tools, safety equipment) against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Organizing and storing inventory securely and strategically to maximize space and ensure easy retrieval.
- Tracking inventory movement using scanning devices or warehouse management systems and conducting regular physical counts and cycle counts to maintain accuracy and control stock levels.
- Processing returns (RMAs - Return Merchandise Authorizations) to vendors for repair or credit, working closely with the purchasing department.
Order Fulfillment and Logistics
- Picking, packing, and labeling products and materials for outgoing shipments or technician pickups.
- Staging materials for specific projects and orders to ensure they are ready for delivery.
- Coordinating and scheduling inbound and outbound deliveries with vendors, suppliers, and job sites.
- Loading and unloading trucks and company vehicles, often using equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Delivering materials and equipment to job sites or picking up unused materials from sites as needed.
Technical and Operational Support
- Testing, cleaning, screening, and repairingcustomer premise equipment (like modems and converters) to ensure full functionality before reissue.
- Pre-assembling or stagingtelecommunication solutions or kits as directed by project specifications.
- Maintaining tools and test equipment lists, tracking their condition and calibration status.
- Participating in company vehicle management, including minor maintenance scheduling and cleaning.
Safety and Compliance
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations (e.g., OSHA).
- Operating warehouse vehicles and equipment (forklifts, etc.) safely and performing daily equipment checks.
- Securing the warehouse contents and premises against loss.
