I have always worked since I was young. Started out working with my stepdad doing odd jobs here and there. I worked at USC doing light maintenance work, this was a temporary position that lasted about 4 months. I did not initially finish high school I had to attend an extra year, I attended a youth build program where I received my high school diploma, I also learned the construction trade, and tutored part-time, I also volunteered for habitat for humanity's store location, and I did this for about 2 years. After that I attended Everest college where I studied to be a dental assistant, finishing the top of my class as ambassador. While I attended Everest college, I worked in the school part-time, filing paperwork. I sought employment with the skills I had but could not find anything at the time. I worked for several job agencies, but could not find anything permanent. And then I started working at Walmart, which I have been doing over 14 years, and at one point I worked for UPS as well, I would go to work for UPS at 11pm, get off around 3am then go to Walmart at 6am. I resigned from UPS. At Walmart I started as a courtesy associate, then a few months later I became a sales associate in the toy department, I worked in the garden department, I was once a department manager, I worked in the jewelry department, where I was in charge of checking in jewelry, and selling jewelry, and also fixing watch bands and batteries. I worked in the digital department, this is where I shopped for the customer, making sure to provide the best quality. And I currently work in grocery department, providing excellent customer service to the best of my abilities. I do like my job, but I always open to explore other opportunities that will help me provide for me and my family and one day my wife.
