Airman and Family Readiness Program Manager

PROGRAM MANAGEMENT & SERVICE DELIVERY: Managed and administered the Installation’s Airman &
Family Readiness (A&FR) Program, supporting over 800 Airmen and 1,700 family members across 15 core
service areas aligned with DoD Military Family Readiness System (MFRS), USAF, and NGB guidance.
Ensured continuous delivery of readiness, transition, and family support services by maintaining required
access to military computer systems, finance records, electronic record-keeping, travel systems, and NGB core
service platforms. Oversaw and executed requirements for Sexual Assault Prevention, Suicide Prevention, and
Volunteer Program support.
DATA MANAGEMENT, REPORTING & COMPLIANCE: Documented and tracked daily services using the
USAF AFFIRST system to ensure accountability, accuracy, and program effectiveness. Conducted ongoing
reviews of Family Readiness and Transition Assistance programs using the USAF Managers’ Internal Control
Toolset to assess compliance and performance.
- In 2019 recognized as an Indiana Air National Guard Superior Performer during the Unit Effectiveness
Inspection for excellence in program oversight.
COMMUNICATION, OUTREACH & EDUCATION: Led strategic marketing initiatives to increase awareness of
A&FR programs, developing and distributing educational materials to service members and families. Delivered
clear, effective written and verbal communication to promote available resources and support services. Served
as the principal communicator for program updates, readiness trends, and community issues impacting Airmen
and families.
LEADERSHIP, ADVISING & CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION: Served as the primary military
advisor, providing leadership with data-driven insights on readiness, community trends, and emerging issues
affecting personal and mission preparedness. Collaborated with cross-functional teams, including Force
Support Squadron and Wing leadership, to align program goals with organizational priorities. Acted as a State
Reviewer for Yellow Ribbon event funding requests, ensuring proper allocation and compliance.
- In 2015 I was presented with the Indiana National Guard Medal of Commendation for my extensive
knowledge and understanding of Air National Guard Family programs, instructions and guidance and
my ability to prioritize effectively and development of key partnerships while meeting the commitments
of the office during the accreditation process.
FINANCIAL & RESOURCE MANAGEMENT: Managed fiscal resources for multiple programs, including Family
Readiness Program: $30,000, Transition Assistance Program: $16,000, Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program:
$1,000. Ensured accurate tracking of expenses as a Government Purchase Card holder and coordinated with
NGB and the 181st IW Comptroller Flight on fund status and year-end closeout. Collaborated with the Force
Support Squadron to determine funding needs and submit fiscal year budgets and unfunded requests to
support deployments, separations, and Wing objectives.
