Summary

My working attitude can be summed up pretty well: I like to have a positive outlook whenever possible. I try to treat everyone I meet with respect and kindness, and do my best to communicate when something goes wrong to maintain a good working relationship. I don’t spread gossip; it never ends well. I prefer to do a job to the best of my ability as accurately and efficiently as possible. My personal life is filled with many hobbies and interests. I’ve done various things like travel south to dig for quartz crystals, make different craft projects with many different materials (wood, epoxy resin, stones, wire, etc.), and I enjoy playing computer, board, and card games. I’m very social; almost everything I do in my free time is spent with at least one other person. For the rare days I’m alone, problem-solving puzzles and DIY projects around the house keep me busy.

Work History

Warehouse Driver

Alliance Trailer Service Inc
05.2024 - 10.2024
  • I lifted upwards of 100 lbs every day, loaded the vehicles with semi trailer parts to deliver to other service shops around south central Wisconsin
  • Expedited shipping processes by accurately preparing documentation such as packing slips, bills of lading, and freight manifests for each delivery assignment.
  • Loaded materials into vehicle using pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices and installed bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
  • Mitigated damage to inventory by following proper lifting techniques when moving heavy or bulky items throughout the warehouse space.
  • On slow days, I arranged and palletized used brake shoe cores in the back warehouse to send them back for credit on shipments of new ones

Sales Representative and Cashier

Northern Tool & Equipment
07.2023 - 07.2024
  • Very similar to my position at Harbor Freight with some differences in products, and with some policies, but same duties overall
  • This Northern Tool location closed at the end of June, and my last day of work there was July 12th; I stayed longer to help with the closure
  • Maintained up-to-date knowledge of industry trends for informed decision-making during client interactions.
  • Increased repeat business by fostering trust-based relationships with key accounts through regular communication.
  • Developed tailored solutions in response to unique customer needs, increasing overall satisfaction rates.

Business Development Center and Porter

Russ Darrow Mazda
12.2022 - 07.2023
  • December through April, I decided to apply for an office job that required me to receive and make phone calls, as well as emails, regarding selling and/or buying vehicles
  • I had a quota to make every month for how many appointments I was able to make, and got a bonus for however many people showed up
  • Office work wasn’t active enough for me, so I went to something more active within the workplace
  • April through July, I worked as a Porter
  • Porters walk the lot at the beginning and at the end of every day to check that every car is locked
  • Throughout the day, my duties were to gas up vehicles for test drives, clean incoming used cars, have any vehicles washed and stickers removed for purchase, clean snow off them in the winter, and sometimes rearranging them to access others
  • Communicated with coworkers and managers about completed duties.

Parts Delivery Driver

Advance Auto Parts
10.2022 - 12.2022
  • Duties included putting parts aways from every other day shipments, lifting around 75 lbs on a daily basis, driving to many different locations in our area to deliver and pick up parts
  • Some days, I had to go from McKee Road to our location on Stoughton Road for some faster service to our customers
  • Kept records of pickups and deliveries and obtained necessary signatures and receipts.
  • This was a short-lived job that I left due to a fellow employee yelling at me calling me worthless in front of customers and the managers, and nothing had been done to reprimand the employee, and no one stepped in to tell him he was out of line; I no longer felt safe going back, which is why I quit and did not carry out a 2-week notice

Senior Sales Associate & Cashier

Harbor Freight Tools
07.2018 - 09.2022
  • About 80% of my time consisted of helping customers, whether it be transactions, finding certain items, helping load products into customer vehicles, or answering the phones
  • The rest of the time was spent dusting, mopping, and sweeping the sales floor, and taking turns cleaning the bathrooms
  • I did have an occasional shift working on unloading the truck with our shipment, but I still lifted more than 50 pounds on a daily basis
  • Trained, coached, and mentored new sales associates for maximum performance.

Zip n Stitch Alteration Specialist

Klinke Cleaners

  • My main responsibility was to work with the customers and determine what alteration and/or repair they needed done
  • These were not necessarily short interactions like working a cash register most of the time

Volunteer Cashier and Donation Handler

Agrace Hospice Care Thrift Store
01.2010 - 07.2014
  • My main duty was being a cashier, and it would sometimes get slow
  • During those times, I would straighten and sort clothes and other sections, make sure the dressing rooms are empty and clean, put away clothes that were tried on and unwanted, and make sure the bathrooms were clean and stocked (part of morning duties as well)
