Able to manage time well in order to keep up with academics, volunteer work and a job for many years. Hard worker, with many promotions throughout employment. Able to work with people of all ages in a group. Offers constructive ideas when needed and is flexible and willing to help wherever it is needed.
Works with students in the Syracuse Community School District, specifically second graders to help them to better their reading and writing skills. This is at a Dual Language Academy so learning to communicate with students whose first language is not english is important.
Red Cross Swim Instructor Certified. Works with kids of all levels ages 1-16. Provides engaging classes that allow students to be apart of their learning and chose points they want to focus on. Able to progress many children through the levels and help them get to the level of swimming they desire to be at.
Red Cross Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR certified. Promoted to a manager role in 2023. This includes creating the schedule, supervising the pool, ensuring there are no maintenance errors and ensuring chemicals are properly balanced in the pool, enforcing pool rules, and speaking with any patrons who may have questions or concerns.
Helps organize the program by ensuring all students have a bus assignment and ski pass. Ensures students find where they need to be for lessons, and get their rentals. Ensures that each student is on the correct bus both at the mountain and at the school to make sure no student is left behind at either location.
Challenger Baseball is a program for kids with special needs to play baseball. Introduced to this program through the Top Soccer program. Program meets once a week for 8 weeks with the last week being a game against another towns Challenger program. Through the 8 weeks worked on teaching the kids different skills and helping them work on skills they wanted to learn and get better at.
Top Soccer is a program that works with kids with special needs playing soccer. It is once a week for 8 weeks and each volunteer gets paired with a child and becomes their "buddy" for the session. Communication and listening skills are crucial for this and coming up with creative "fun" ways of explaining skills were necessary to fully engage the child in activities.
