Additional Information

Proud single mother of one daughter who lives in Kansas City, Missouri, about to be wed in April, 2024. Being a Mother-in-Law to the young man she will be marrying is something I am very much looking forward to.

I am active in my small community in various 'behind the scene' ways.

As a former ballet teacher I have a broad range of students and their parents in my "garden of friends". My dance training has brought with it an involvement with the Joplin Little Theater over the years performing in several musical productions.

My interest in the arts also includes sketching, painting and writing. Several of my writing pieces have been published in local newspapers, I have books of poetry and short stories and my first novel is around 400 pages with three remaining chapters to be completed before the editing process begins.

My past legal experience brings me opportunities to help people with drafting wills, and navigating the legal system as a whole. I am often called up on to recommend attorneys and I am always pleased to make suggestions that best fit their needs. The last legal matter I worked on was drafting a Victim's Impact Statement. This occurred a week ago, and was described by the Victim's Advocate and the Public Defender as well as being "eloquently written". The Advocate stated that the judge was so moved he had to remove his glasses and wipe his eyes. While highly unpleasant to have to write, I was pleased with the effective outcome, and the criminal will be behind bars for the next fifty years.

While I may not have every bit of experience with navigating certain computer skills, I am a quick learner, and will work exceedingly hard to become more than proficient in whatever I need. It is my fervent hope that my experience and love of working for AORN will provide me with the chance to be of use in this new position.

My dream job would probably include some kind of writing. Until that presents itself, I can honestly say that the happiest time of my work history has been the time I have been with AORN, Inc. It is doubtful that few other candidates for this position will have my successful record of working remotely. It simply fits me like a glove and I thrive in this type of work setting.

Please consider me for this position.
