  • Working at Amazon I have had the pleasure of being able to work in most of the departments there which are Pick, Pack, Dock and Stow, as well as working in the delivery warehouse.
  • Stow is one of the most important departments as it is the first stop for all items coming to our warehouse where product will be sent to all the other depts so all items had to be inspected to ensure that they were allowed to be accepted in our FC as it is a medium hazmat warehouse as well as inspected for damages or barcode issues at the time or arrival.
  • Picking items from pods that are shown on screen while checking items for any damages as well as making sure the item is correctly labeled quantity and all that as shown on screen to insure the customer gets their correct items on time.
  • Packing items into correct boxes using the appropriate amount of dunnage so items do not get damaged in shipping and sending them on the conveyor to dock to be sent to the customer
  • As a Dock worker I would stack the packages coming off the lines onto palettes making sure they did not stick out so they wouldn't be damaged when loaded on the trailer and the heavy packages didn't crush the rest
  • Sorting smaller packages into bins
  • Making sure all boxes were correctly scanned into the correct trailer as well as loading the trailers
  • Working in delivery I would sort packages and stage them to get ready to be delivered for the drivers morning routes.
