the scope decontamination room, I put all the keys and locks in place, we enable our sink with water up to a little more than haft at 120/115 degrees,We put our scope body in function,then we put our containers with water+pure enzymatic detergent from the boston scientific company, another container with clean water. Add 3 full pumps Pure Enzymactic (90cc) solution in to the water filled sink with the scope. Precede to brush each channel at least 2 times each or until the brush come out clean on the other end. Using the same sponge came into the decontamination room. Attach the scope buddy and run 3 seconds for water and enzymatic mix,water, and air. then remove the plug from the sink so that the water goes down and give it to the person who is in the machine room to proceed with the final decontamination.
when we finish our work with the last patient, we remove all the towels on top of the sink, we put all the containers inside the sink and we star to wipe there with hot water, then we use Micro-kill+ (alcohol), and a clean dry towel and we star to disinfect and dry my station, then we clean put everything back cleaned with micro-kill+, then we clean the entire sink and dry we put clean towels to return the next day to do our work.
In te room where the linens are made, we have a table on which we roll the linens, previously disinfected. we put a sheet, a blue gown for patients an clear bag to put the patient's belongings. we roll up and put them in a mobile closet, to fill it full.
When we make a bed, we put the brake, we raise it to a level to star removing all the sheets, the garbage that was left on the bed is thrown out and the sheet set is put in a blue container, then we clean with micro-kill+ all over the mattress and the irons of the bed and pillow, then we put the sheet, the pillow cover and the roll of linens and it is ready for another patient.
