During Spring and Fall large distributors around United States host shows to educate and promote product lines they carry. These are attended by professional hairdressers in the industry as a way to obtain their continuing education hours and requirements to uphold their license for Dept. of Health and Human Services who govern our industry.
I was part of a Sales/Stylist Team who performed, educated and promoted a product line named Aquage. We traveled over weekends and did numerous shows on stage in front of our peers numbering up to 1500 in a class hosted by hotel ballrooms in large cities throughout US.
I would perform up to 6 shows during weekends. On Mondays I would be booked by salon owners to come in and do private education classes for their staff. I would educate these accounts on product use and hair design spending time with owners strategizing techniques of selling to increase product sales.
Communication is one of my strong suits. Over the years I have built strong relationships and friendships with clients by having multiple interpersonal skills. I enjoy meeting new people and I find it easy to connect with a client without forcing the conversation. I strive to make it a priority to build rapport with people in a short amount of time in order to provide them with the best service experience possible. I possess good analytical skills that help me to offer clear and concise problem solving methods, motivating an individual to feel at ease with my guidance and recommendations. I enjoy making a client comfortable and happy they have met me and can trust me in a no nonsense, realistic manner to help them meet all of their needs, questions, and expectations. I strive to complete a task well and on time. I naturally tend to lead in a situation, but I am aware of others input, I am coachable, a team player and a quick learner paying attention to detail.
After 22 years in the role of salon ownership, sales manager for Woodhouse and recruiter/client manager for Triage, I have not only learned to become a "jack of all trades" including customer sales and management, contracts, accounting, payroll and finance, I have learned to carry myself with integrity, honesty, a sense of humor and confidence to build relationships with clients and co-workers. I believe I'm ready to take another leap of faith that I will succeed in this arena also. I look forward to being part of a team that can be diverse but work together toward a common goal.
