General medicine inpatient unit serving patients with multiple diagnoses and co-morbidities, providing general care to adult and geriatric patient populations. Multiple different medical services that include: family practice, internal medicine, cardiology, nephrology, gastroenterology, wound care, infectious disease, Covid and oncology.

Respiratory Specialty and Comprehensive Care Unit (7JCP)

• Pulmonary care for: COPD, obstructive sleep apnea, asthma, cystic fibrosis, slow-to-wean ventilator patients, neuro-muscular disorders, lung transplant and patients who need less than intensive care, but more care than provided on acute medical/surgical units.
• Palliative Care is also on this floor and consists of a wide range of diagnosis receiving symptom management and some that are receiving end of life care.

Staff nurse 5 Telemetry Cardiac Unit.

• Performed patient’s assessment cardiovascular, post sugical cabages, lobectomy, cardiac catheterizations, chest tube and drains and wound management.
• Managed IV infusions, oral and intramuscular subcutaneus medications.
• Educated patients and their families on cardiac disease processes, procedures and medication.
• Assisted patients post cardiac catheterizations and rehab post procedures.

Staff nurse Medical Surgical Unit

• Performed patient’s assessment incl. stroke assessments and management, urinary catheters, respiratory, neurologic, tracheostomy, and wounds.
• Managed IV infusions, oral and intramuscular subcutaneus medications.
• Educated patients and their families on disease processes, med/surg procedures and medication.
• Assisted patients with bathing, dressing, maintaining personal hygiene, moving in bed, standing and walking.

Staff nurse case manager, Mercy Home health care acute patient care.

• Perform initial patient assessments and work with physicians to plan, implement, and evaluate plans of care for patients of all ages; manage average caseload of 20 patient
• Performed patient’s assessment incl. cardiovascular, urinary catheters, respiratory, neurologic, tracheostomy, chest tube and drains and wounds.
• Managed IV infusions, oral and intramuscular subcutaneous medications.
• Educated patients and their families on disease processes and home mangagment with focuses on post procedures and home medications
• Assisted patients with bathing, dressing, maintaining personal hygiene, moving in bed, standing and walking.

Under general supervision of the Director of Nursing or Nurse Supervisor. RN responsible for resident care and supervises the nursing staff assigned to that unit or shift. I assured quality of nursing care and service to facility residents/families.

Assisted clients to stay in their own homes. Included performing ordered treatment, administering medications, enteral/parenteral feedings, all adls/Iadls. Patient care was individually focused in the home. From 2010 to 2011 worked as LPN.

Communicated effectively with residents and visitors as well as staff and departments. Assisted with student housing room assignments. Kept accurate records and performing multiple tasks was key to this position. Supervised multiple student staff during desk hours and desk student schedules.
