Core Responsibilities
Surgery Operations Management:
• Coordinate and manage the surgical schedule.
• Supervise OR, SPD, and endoscopy staff.
Regulatory Compliance:
• Oversee Joint Commission standards compliance by aligning policies with current practices.
Infection Control:
• Monitor facility-related infections.
• Maintain documentation and implement infection control processes.
Radiation Safety Officer:
• Certified to operate X-ray machines.
• Manage dosimetry reports, dosimeter badges, and lead apron compliance.
• Liaise with the physicist to ensure radiation safety standards are upheld.
Biomedical and Equipment Oversight:
• Coordinate Biomed equipment servicing.
• Ensure all surgical and diagnostic equipment meets required standards.
Surgical Case Coordination:
• Maintain communication with surgical reps for upcoming procedures.
• Onboard surgeons and coordinate service lines for specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, ENT, colorectal, pain, spine, and GI.
Supply Chain and Materials Management:
• Verify, receive, and manage medical supplies.
• Oversee processes for rotating stock and disposing of expired items.
Pharmacy Oversight:
• Inventory, order, and manage medications.
• Maintain compliance with pharmaceutical regulations.
Quality and Risk Management:
• Support quality improvement initiatives and risk management strategies.
• Record and manage meeting minutes for key discussions and decisions.
