I went on missions to Boracay and Manila in the Philippines 3 and 10 years ago. Provided Health education, first aid and health screening on two different islands and in remote jungle villages.
I also went on Mission to the Dominican Republic to provide nursing care to students and team member along with assisting with a BP clinic and home visits under the supervision of an NP./remote physicians.
For over 10 years I volunteered intermittently during each year at a free clinic once or twice a month when not working my part time job. I would room patients , taking vitals and weights and provide education as needed. I also dispensed medications from the clinics pharmacy under the supervision of the provider that day.
