Although the job description of being a cashier at a restaurant or supermarket may be overlooked or seem like a small task, the opportunity, as well as the experience is highly appreciated. Throughout the time I worked as a cashier at both establishments I quickly learned that there was much more to the job. Not only are there different tasks involved for the job but it also deals with getting the hang of things quickly. I learned how fast paced the environment can be, some skills I learned were multitasking as well as communications skills. Much came out from these experiences and broadend my ability to learn things quickly and complete tasks in an effecient matter. This role helped my patience as well as my ability to work with others. These jobs only hightened other skills I had prior, such as great time management; while working with tight schedules, managing school, and daily work, a social life, and job tasks I learned how to conduct myself in a job as well as becoming a valuable asset to a team.
