I began my medical office experience at MDI in Thousand Oaks as a part-time postion in the evening. I continued acquiring medical office procedure hands on experience. The change in management and merger of MDI with RadNet, having different values, sent me on a course to Westlake Medical Hospital as a radiology secretary. I throughly enjoyed the versatility of tasks, procedures and patient care. The closure of Westlake Medical Hospital, routed me to Conejo Women's Medical Center. With the help of a friend employed at Conejo Women's Medical Center. She was leaving to pursue a nursing degree and offered me her position. I interviewed for the position and 13 years later I had maxed out my pay with the practice and no other advancing position were available without pursuing school mandates. My sister working at CMS, Inc, a radiology medical billing company, alerted me to billing associate positions available. I submitted my application. I interviewed and was hired. Our CMS, Inc was merged with XiFin in 2022. As the pandemic changed our way of life it also change how we would find a solution to keep our claims moving. We changed to working from home, as so many other employers did the same. I primarily work from home but 4 hours on Thursday's. I drive into the office in Simi Valley. We continue with the same efficiency, professionalism and patient values.
I am looking to acquire another source of employment. I have high standards with the work I produce. I want patient's information to reflect accuracy to get the quickest turnaround on my claims.
I am looking to subsidize my finances, the flexibility and same work ethics and values. I consider myself as a long term asset.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Respectfully,
Maria G. Washburn
