-The primary purpose of this position is to accurately select GIANT Direct orders throughout the store, while maintaining all company service policies and established procedures including safety, food safety, and sanitation practices
-Shopping multiple customer orders, using designated tools and equipment, while simultaneously assisting customers in store.
-Differentiate various types of produce merchandise, including differences between varieties of similar classes of products (e.g., apples, lettuces, etc.)
-Had the opportunity to work as a Facilitator as well, which included duties related to those of the Shopper, and organizing the groceries in the designated staging room
-Answering phone calls regarding the arrivals of the customers, and making sure the correct orders are being delivered.
-Being up to date with new orders for every hour, sending orders to the deli and seafood, and substituting unsatisfactory items.
-Greeting customers and distributing menus-Obtain and Maintain a working knowledge of all food menus, including carryout and catering menus
-Assist back of house team with carrying plates and beverages
-Assist with setting tables for incoming customers
-Maintain sanitary rules and food safety regulations
-Respond to questions and complaints kindly and considerately
-Communicate with servers and kitchen staff on orders and customer requests
-Inform restaurant management of customer feedback or complaints to keep the operation running smoothly
-Cashing out bills and returning change as needed
-Preparing the bill or bills as requested
-Working in a highly demanding, fast-paced environment
-Working arduously and diligently during a Grand Opening, sometimes working all-day double shifts
-Making sure all stations met high sanitary standards and made sure we were all stocked with necessities on the tables
