Mariah Lopez

I have this as a class where we help out in a class with students who are on the spectrum. I've had the class since Sophomore year and I've done an abundant of things from helping people become more aware and respectful of the kids, helping them with assignments, and even motivating them to be active by going to P.E with them.

• Developed leadership skills by participating in various JROTC training exercises and activities.
• Participated in community service initiatives to promote civic responsibility and represent the values of the JROTC program.
• Contributed to a positive learning environment by acting as a role model for fellow cadets, demonstrating respect for authority, peers, and self discipline.
• Improved physical fitness levels for increased performance during JROTC athletic events and competitions.
• Participated in extracurricular clubs or organizations affiliated with JROTC to further develop skills or interests outside the scope of traditional training sessions.
• Fostered camaraderie among fellow cadets by actively participating in team-building events such as field day competitions or social outings outside of normal training hours.

The walk took place at Phoenix Zoo. I heard of it from an elective class I have called Peer Tutoring. I was one of the people stationed at the front to welcome people in for the walk, give them their wristbands, as well as little souvenirs as a thank you. It was an amazing experience and seeing all the kids come in with big smiles made it worth it.
