Summary

A registered nurse of over 3 years, who has experienced a variety of clinical settings inpatient and outpatient. These experiences have enhanced knowledge, advanced critical thinking skills, provided the opportunity to collaborate with care teams and engage compassionately with patients and family members. I have enjoyed treating critical patients in the Emergency Department and caring for, educating and maintaining patient's care in a specialty outpatient clinic. Through these work experiences, a greater understanding of the importance and need for all healthcare workers was established, in addition to, the need of a larger emphasis on preventive care and patient education. Nurses are called to continue education, advocate for patients and improve overall healthcare. Therefore, it would be an honor to be selected to pursue a higher degree to achieve career goals by helping serve, educate and treat the community and improve the healthcare system.
