Oversees the development and execution of business and strategic plans for shareholder services that align with the President's and Board of Directors' strategic goals and mission. Ensures the over 3,000 shareholders receive outstanding services and support from staff through prompt, courteous, accurate, and effective responses to questions and resolution of problems. Coordinates with Legal and Government Affairs to champion legislative and regulatory matters that would benefit UIC and its shareholders on stock issues. Actively participates in regular Board of Directors meetings, workshops, retreats, and annual Shareholder meetings, including engaging in strategy-setting discussions, presenting analyses and reports on the achievement of strategic objectives, providing management recommendations, and receiving and carrying out strategic direction to management. Assumes a leadership role in public relations through proactive relationship-building, community affairs, and direct representation in external forums. Works with the corporation’s legal counsel to ensure that legal obligations are met. Ensures the effective administration of UIC’s stock under UIC’s policies and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including ANILCA and ANCSA.
Provides organizational leadership and collaborates with community and philanthropic partners to establish long-term goals, strategies, and company policies. Establishes and oversees internal systems, policies, procedures, and staff to protect and maintain the integrity and accuracy of UIC’s stock and UIC Foundation records. Ensures shareholders receive outstanding services and support from staff through prompt, courteous, accurate, and effective responses to questions, and resolution of problems related to the Foundation. Proactively builds an understanding of the UIC Foundation-related issues among UIC’s shareholders and their descendants by deploying educational and informational materials through a variety of platforms.
Responsible for management and oversight of the administrative services functions for Recovery Services. Work directly with Clinicians, Case Managers, Peer Support, Outpatient programs. Oversees, directs and provides leadership to all administrative support staff. Responsible for organizing, streamlining and maintain department processes. Coordinate office staff activities, for all of Recovery Services. Develop, implement and maintain office policies & procedures per Recovery Services, CARF and grant requirements and updates. Serve on the Continuous Quality Management (CQM) team to ensure agency growth and sustainability. Provide support to Administrative Supervisor and Legal Department to complete and comply with subpoenas and legal requests. Provide direct support to the Director of Recovery Services and maintain relationships with all Managers within Recovery Services.
Advise the Director of administrative matters and concerns, support the Health Board in the North Slope communities, and represent the department at various hearings, meetings and conferences. Assist in the development of program policies & procedures. Support the Director through the budget process for the Health Department, and communicate between the Director and eight programs to ensure we are providing the services in line with the North Slope Borough vision and mission.
Support the implementation of community development programs within the Arctic Slope of Alaska. Facilitate community planning sessions, coordinate resources to aid in communities, understand issues specific to each community, and track community events to identify opportunities for improvements to village services that fit within the scope of ASRC. Support and work directly with subsidiaries in ensuring projects are coordinated in regard to Economic Development, Capacity Building, or Social Investments. Manage all contributions and donation requests submitted by entities and shareholders to the Arctic Slope Regional Corporation in line with guidelines; manage the budget for the department's projects specific to Community Economic Development and Corporate contributions.
Preparation of board packets, travel arrangements, and distribution of agendas; transcribe all meeting minutes and documents for Board of Directors meetings. Coordinate events with corporate management. Work closely with the Legal Department of ASRC. Coordinate yearly shareholder informational meetings in each community in the Arctic Slope.
Provide administrative support to the President & CEO and to Executive Management.Coordinate events with Corporate Management. Maintain correspondence with subsidiaries based on the CEO's requests. Maintain relationships with Arctic Slope region village leaders, state agencies, and elected officials, and review and prioritize correspondence and communications for the President/CEO and Vice President of Government Affairs. Assist the Corporate Secretary as needed. Coordinate and make all travel arrangements for Executive Management and the Board of Directors. Administer special projects and manage and process ASRC Contributions.
