Mariam Abuamer

Brooklyn,United States

Summary

A versatile artist with a powerful international presence, Mariam Abuamer was born in Moscow to Palestinian and Afghan parents. She began her artistic journey at the age of 5 with a debut on Palestinian National Television. Raised in Gaza, Mariam faced the unique challenges of being a female artist under societal restrictions imposed by Islamic ruling. Undeterred, she channeled adversity into inspiration, dedicating her career to advocating for peace and human rights through her voice and presence. Mariam has been featured on international platforms, including ARTE, La Parisienne, Business Time Magazine, BBC, El Sol del México, La Stampa, and France Inter radio, among others. Her latest release, "IN," a techno track, was created in collaboration with electronic music producer (concrete) and includes a spoken word poem on peace.
