Provide professional instruction and skills-based training to police recruits in accordance with the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES) Basic Police Training Curriculum. Responsibilities include developing and delivering lesson plans on core law enforcement topics such as firearms proficiency, arrest control and defensive tactics, emergency vehicle operations, legal procedures, and community relations. Monitor and evaluate recruit performance to ensure compliance with academy standards and state licensing requirements.
