I’m Mariam Vardanyan, currently a student at Hunter College, majoring in Human Biology and minoring in Sociology, and I’m working toward my dream of becoming a Physician Assistant with a focus in cardiothoracic surgery. But beyond the titles and the goals, what truly drives me is my love for people—and the deep desire to care for them when they need it most.
Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of being there for people in small but meaningful ways. Whether volunteering at Lenox Hill Hospital, working as a dental assistant, or currently helping clients as a Home Health Aide, I’ve learned how powerful it is just to be present—to offer a smile, to lend a hand, or simply to listen.
I’ve helped patients move through their day, prepared them for procedures, reassured nervous families, and managed front desk responsibilities to make sure every visit feels smooth and welcoming. I speak English, Armenian, and Russian, and I’ve worked hard to be someone who others can count on—not just for care, but for kindness.
I’ve also earned certifications in CPR and AED (BLS), and as a Home Health Aide, and I continue to grow every day, both personally and professionally. My goal is to bring heart into every space I enter, to treat each patient with dignity and warmth, and to make a real difference—one person at a time.
