Working for school district for 8 years was an achievement on itself. I learned alot from the teachers I was able to work throughout those years. I started as a classroom para. Decided to get my sub license because I felt comfortable being responsible to take over a classroom when a teacher was absent. I also took over a different para position where I worked on interventions with smaller group of kids and it turned out to be something I enjoyed.

2 Years 9 MonthsAs a substitute teacher I was provided with substitute plans for me to follow during the day. I was responsible for monitoring students and be their support.
Paraprofessional
7 Years 9 MonthsAs classroom para, I was support to teacher and students. I was responsible for running my own center based on curriculum units. I was able to help students and support them academically and emotionally. Monitoring students at all times was an important responsibility for me. I was avaliable for cleaning and organizing the classroom as well as materials. Breakfast/lunch and bus duty before and after school were also part of my daily schedule.
