Summary

I have been an educator for 18 years. My career began in January 1998 as an 8 th grade Social Studies teacher. All of my teaching career has been in a testing subject except in the 2000-2001 school year in which I taught elementary music pre-K through 5 th grade. I have participated in curriculum writing committees, curriculum refinement, technology integration curriculum writing, UIL, and various other committees. Two of my greatest accomplishments as an educator is to have won the 2013 School Bell Award for my city and to be chosen to represent the educators from my congressional district as a special guest of Congressman Henry Cuellar to attend the 2015 Presidential State of the Union Address. I am currently certified in the state of Texas to teach EC to 6 Elementary, Social Studies 7-12, Secondary Government (8-12) but, I am willing to acquire other certifications that are needed to obtain a position as an educator.
