Improvisation, Storytelling, Beading

I took my first Improvisation Class approximately ten years ago and fell in love with it. It offers me the opportunity to meet and interact with people of all ages.  The laughter keeps drawing me back. I highly recommend this activity for everyone. There are NO mistakes! It is SO healthy!!

Another activity that I am not participating in currently is Storytelling. We each have our own stories and only we can tell them. I encouraged my middle and high school students to write using their words, their memories - because their stories were uniquely theirs. Attending Storytelling Festivals over the years has been inspiring.  Remembering details from my own life has transported me to feelings and memories long forgotten.

One of my fondest memories was time spent with my aunt exploring her childhood experiences.

Finally,  I discovered beading thanks to my artisan sister. I love the colors, varied sizes and types of beads available. There's no limit to one's imagination. . . it's actually kind of like storytelling and improvisation.  You start with a suggestion or and idea and see where it leads you.
