One of two managerial positions focused on developing and overseeing inclusive programs and museum-wide accessibility initiatives for the Met’s 7 million annual visitors.

  • Provide oversight of over 300 programs, partnerships and museum-wide initiatives, including articulating goals and strategies, policies, budgets and evaluation to enhance accessibility for visitors across the Museum's buildings, collection, exhibitions, programs, website, and other resources
  • Collaborate with all departments from Digital to the DEIA office to set the highest standards of Accessibility including Accessibility & Safety Guidelines for Exhibition Design, Anti-ableism and Accessibility Trainings and Multisensory Strategies Trainings
  • Provide guidance to curators, educators and other content developers on incorporating representations and narratives of disability in museum interpretation, programs and scholarship
  • Foster wellbeing through the arts through partnerships and Your Met Art Box
  • Develop inclusive strategies and resources to increase participation of disabled visitors in Adult, Family, Teen and School programs including a Social Emotional Learning Through Art curriculum
  • Work closely with curators, conservators and scientists on designing scent-based experiences in programs and unveiling olfactory narratives in interpretation
  • Responsible for one full-time staff, one full-time graduate intern, 20 teaching artists and over 30 volunteers including their recruitment, goals setting, evaluation, and mentoring
  • Manage a $500,000 budget and work closely with colleagues in Development to secure funding, including writing grant narratives, tracking grant progress, liaising with funders, and reporting
  • Share expertise and ideas nationally and internationally to foster interdisciplinary collaborations and lead the field of arts accessibility forward
  • Founder & co-convener of The Met Disabilities-Employee Resource Group.

  • Responsible for the vision and management of the Lab for Learning
  • Assisted over 1,000 New York City youth with disabilities (K-12) annually to become independent and successful adults by designing, coordinating and teaching Accessible & Inclusive Social Skills Programs Through the Arts
  • Recruited and managed a team of 10 teaching artists as well as interns and volunteers
  • Developed and implemented multimodal learning approaches including tactile graphics and verbal descriptions
  • Sought and maintained new partnerships with schools, museums, and other community agencies
  • Coordinated the International Art Beyond Sight Awareness Month including webinars on accessibility and inclusion for cultural institutions
  • Conducted U.S and International Museum Training including Disability Awareness, verbal description and multi-sensory strategies

  • Organized a Community & Adaptive Technology Fair for IU students and Bloomington city
  • Created and lead support groups for adults who are blind or partially sighted
  • Developed a guide of accessible cultural institutions for the City of Bloomington
  • Evaluated adaptive technology for students with disabilities including Screen Reader Software: Kurzweil 3000, Read&Write, and Inspiration.
