- Work closely with department leaders about the results and their impact on the day-to-day operations
- Work with the banks and lenders to manage cash needs, relationship, and ensure compliance with all debt or equity covenants & reporting needs
- Ensure timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, performance indicators and forecasts
- Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities
- Co-Manufacturer and Co-Packer of nutraceuticals and health supplements (food and beverages)
- McClary Holdings is a private equity backed company that was formed in Sept of 2022 when it acquired two operational companies which had total revenues of $100M
- Built the accounting and HR functions within 2 months of hire
- Hired HR Manager, Controller, AP and AR clerks and a staff accountant
- Set up internal controls and policies and procedures for the Accounting, HR and IT functions
- I began managing the business with a 13-week cash flow while the financials were re-built to be in compliance with GAAP
- GAAP accrual-based financials were produced by Oct 2023
- Prepared their first budget for 2024
- Developed the financial reporting package and worked closely with the private equity team to make sure that it met their monthly reporting needs
- Hired Tanner, LLC auditing company to do their first audit of both the 2022 stub period and 2023
- The audit was successfully done, and we received an ‘unqualified’ opinion
- Successfully implemented NetSuite ERP system in May 2024
- The prior ERP system was Quick Books
- We obtained Data Ninja as our main inventory and warehousing system
- We are now working on getting all the inventory scanned so we can do a physical inventory
- We have also created BOM’s for each current product
- The plan for 2025 is to establish standard costs (DM, DL, MOH)
- Daily strategy planning with the CEO and COO
- One of our latest strategies is to only keep the customers that meet MOQ and margins
