Hi, I’m

Marina Calderon-Simpson

Odessa,TX

Summary

I had my own business in Marketing/PR and advertising for over a decade. I worked with Coca-Cola, Time Warner, Harley Davidson, and more for local clients in El Paso. Though I loved working with my clients, the ups and downs of the economy have made me seek something more sustainable. I moved here in 2019 and started sub-teaching while I was looking to find a new career and found I loved special education. I was given a long-term assignment in special education and loved it. I also have experience tutoring and fulfilling IEP-mandated work with students in Elementary Math, English, and Reading. I also was a teacher for Art Education and ELR Middle School .

I am willing and able to take a new position as soon as possible while I finish up my TExAS testing. I am currently scheduled for two tests before the end of the year. I've been with Ector County ISD since August 2023 and would love to take my career to the next level.
