I worked for the New York City Police Department for the last 22 years. I started my career as a police cadet in 2001 and I was promoted to police officer in July 2003. During my career with the NYPD I took advantage of all available trainings and instructions offered to make my job easier and safer. I started as a housing cop, then I worked in the 30 precinct for 16 years and Finished my career in Transit District 3. I was a FTO (Field Training Officer) for around 3 years. As a FTO my job was to help and train newly hired cops how to use all the trainings acquired in the Police Academy as a tool to do a better job on patrol. I served as a Traffic Safety Officer for around 4 years where I worked mainly as a solo patrol officer and I wrote thousands of traffic infractions tickets with minimum supervision or directions.
