  • Check the delivery route assignment sheet for the day, sign in on the handheld computer scanner, obtain the manifest invoices for scheduled deliveries, obtain the truck keys and dark drop keys as needed, obtain an electric or manual pallet jack and dolly, performed a walk-around pre-trip for the assigned truck, and input it into the handheld computer. GPS route as needed scan and follow manifest instructions for delivery. Communicate with dispatch as needed. When delivering to certain customers use forklift if a pallet drop. Check invoice with the customer for shorts, damages, and/or refusals. Adjust invoice as needed and input them into the handheld scanner. Collect checks from customers as needed. Upon returning to the warehouse, unload electric and/or manual pallet jack, return pallets to the pallet section, dolly and pallet jack to the equipment section. Log in all checks received and place them in the check box. Clean the truck cab, sweep the freezer, and refrigeration compartments. Do a walk-around post-trip for the assigned truck and input into the handheld computer. Return truck keys and dark drop keys, log in break and lunch times on the break sheet, place the handheld computer scanner on the charging port, and check out with dispatch prior to clocking out.
