PASSENGER PROCESSING

• Plenty of experience in the process of inbound and outbound air and/or land passengers and conveyances.
• Plenty of experience in primary vehicle processing, secondary vehicle processing, primary pedestrian processing, secondary pedestrian processing and enforcement operations.
• I would determine the identity, citizenship and documentation required to enter the country.
• Perform inspections of people, conveyances and luggage to deter human and narcotics smuggling from entering the country.
• I would interpret laws and regulations of a broad range of federal, state and local agencies pertaining to the admissibility of travelers cargo and conveyances.
• Plenty of experience in the utilization of law enforcement databases to query subjects entering the United States such as TECS, ATS, CIS2, US Simplified Arrival, PCQS, CCDI, SEVIS and IDENT/IAFIS.

ANTI-TERRORISM CONTRABAND ENFORCEMENT TEAM

• Perform roving port operations on a constant basis
• Coordinate with the K-9 team to perform blitzes and pre-primary operations.
• Coordinate with frontline to perform NII blitzes
• Perform Cargo operations such as cabin checks, blitzes and devans.
• Perform outbound operations to deter and apprehend any type of violation such as bulk cash smuggling, ammo & weapon smuggling and export violations.
• Performing operations to deter terrorist and weapons of mass destruction from entering the country while at the same time having a continuous flow legitimate travel.
• Experience in testing narcotics using the GEMINI or the Rapid Response Kit.
• Record findings of seizures in SEACATS.

TRUSTED TRAVELER PROGRAM

• Processes cases regarding GLOBAL, SENTRI, and FAST programs.
• I would run extensive queries to ensure the applicants would meet the "low-risk" status.
• I would conduct in-depth interviews and inspect documentation the applicant may have.
• I would approve or disapprove applicants in concurrence with the supervisor.

CARGO COMMERCIAL OFFICER

• I would expedite travel and travel of commercial commodities entering or leaving the United States.
• Plenty of experience processing the exportation of commercial goods out of the United States.
• Experience in resolving issues regarding shipments regarding missing entry numbers or other sort of mistakes.
• I would contact brokers, carriers, other government agencies and officers to conduct analysis of various ACE data input.
• Plenty of experience in resolving issues to the shipment, manifest, entry, trip or other component which was slowed or stopped the movement of merchandise into or out of the country.

ADMISSIBILITY ENFORCEMENT UNIT

• Plenty of experience processing a diverse array of cases such as: ER's (Expedited Removals), ER-CF's (Expedited Removals Credible Fear), NTA's (Notice To Appear), WD's (Withdrawals), ESTA Refusals and Paroles.
• Would conduct extensive interviews in order to discover the truth.
• Plenty of experience in determining the nationality and identity of each applicant for admission and prevented the entry of ineligible aliens, including criminals, terrorists, and drug traffickers.
• Plenty of experience in enforcing the INA (Immigration and Nationality Act) by identifying charges of inadmissibility and charge subjects with various INA charges.
• I would set up permanent residents for a 240 removal after they were found in the act of committing a crime involving moral turpitude.
• Plenty of experience in interviewing individuals claiming asylum (credible fear).
• Process an extensive of immigration cases that resulted in the removal of non-citizens.
• Extensive amount of experience in processing cases that resulted in the future court to go see an immigration judge in regards of asylum.
• I would often transport detainees to the detention camp or I would transport U.S citizens or permanent residents into the Imperial County Jail after they were found in violation of a federal law.

AIRPORT PROCESSING

• Plenty of experience in processing individuals entering the country through airplane.
• Would review their passenger manifest and I would run queries to make sure no derogatory info found.
• I would also run the RIID to to detect and avoid any terrorist instruments.
• Prepare the manifests for the next day to facilitate travel.

• Supervised up to 30 officers at a time in vehicle and pedestrian primary and secondary environments both inbound and outbound.
• Completed scheduling throughout my temporary supervisory status and adapting to the ever-changing mission and all while working with limited staffing at the Port of Entry.
• Review and approve significant narcotic, commercial, and currency seizures in SEACATS.
• Coordinated teams of senior officers to assist newer officers with on-the-job training.
• Gave daily musters to the officers advising them about new changes and regulations updates .
• Coordinating overtime assignments when problems arose in the operation.
• Approving and assigning overtime tickets.
• Coordinating administrative paperwork for officers who were injured while on duty.
• Contacting foreign officials to coordinate the return of non-citizens.
• Contact with other law enforcement agencies in order to capture subjects who seem to be going south of the border while committing a violation.
• Keeping track and advising officers to be up to date with their online training courses and relaying the information to upper management.
• Always reminding and providing officers about mental health resources such as Peer Support and EAP.
• Interacting with the traveling public while they had a complaint and resolve it.
